A Greeting From Our Principal
Dear South Dorchester Families:
It has been great to have everybody return for the beginning of the 2007-2008 school year. It was inspiring to see the excitement of the students and staff as the children arrived at school today.
On Wednesday, September 12, 2007 we will hold our annual “Back to School Night” at 6:30 p.m. This is an opportunity for parents and families to meet their children’s teachers and receive information about academic programs and expectations.
We would like to welcome the new students and families to our district and invite them to be active participants in our school community. We also welcome the following new teachers: Mrs. Melanie Coleman in PreKindergarten, Mrs. Joanne Rue in Kindergarten, Ms. Karen Niessner in 3rd grade, Miss Melissa Stevens in Middle School Math, and Mrs. Renee Harding in our Media Center. We are glad to have you all with us.
Hopefully you have heard that South Dorchester School scored well overall in reading and math on the 2007 Maryland State Assessments
