Gail Benjamin – First grade teacher
I was born in Dorchester County and have lived here my entire life. I live with my husband, Rod, and our two cats, Halo and Alice. We have one daughter, Traci, a son-in-law, Garrett, and two grandchildren, Carson and Reese, who live in California.
I was educated in Dorchester County schools. I graduated from Salisbury State College in 1974 with a BS in Elementary Education. In 1978, I received my Masters of Education.
I have taught for 33.6 years, in two different schools; St. Clair Elementary and South Dorchester School. The grades I have taught are second, kindergarten, and first. I have taught first grade for most of my teaching years. My favorite subject to teach is reading.
