Kristi King – Guidance Counselor

I am proud to be an educator at South Dorchester School.  Born and raised in Rock Hall, Maryland, I feel right at home on Hooper’s Island.  Prior to moving to Dorchester County, I taught for 10 years at Wicomico Middle School in Salisbury.  I graduated from Salisbury State with my BS in Biology and taught science for 7 years.  I received my Masters in Guidance and Counseling and have a total of 6 years counseling experience.  I was also the Maryland School Performance Facilitator at Wicomico Middle School for 4 years.  In addition to working in the school system, my husband and I own and operate King’s Island Pride on Hooper’s Island.  My son Matthew is a third grade student at South Dorchester School and he has had a very positive experience during the six years we have lived in Dorchester County.
